Discover the exceptional taste of Ethiopia with our premium coffee, sourced from the renowned Aricha village in the Gedeo Zone. Grown at elevations of 1,900 to 2,100 meters above sea level, this coffee thrives in Ethiopia’s unique high-altitude microclimates which is perfect conditions that shape its complex flavor profile.
This coffee is the work of more than 800 dedicated smallholder farmers who cultivate Kerume and Heirloom varieties, reflecting the unmatched genetic diversity of Ethiopian coffee. Each step of production is carried out with meticulous care to preserve quality and authenticity.
From the moment the cherries arrive at the washing station, only the best are chosen. The process begins with careful hand-sorting to remove any unripe, overripe, or damaged fruit. To further refine quality, the cherries are floated in water—denser, healthier beans naturally sink, while imperfections rise to the surface and are removed.
Once sorted, the cherries are depulped and undergo a controlled 100-hour fermentation. This crucial step, refreshed with cold water every 24 hours, ensures complete mucilage removal and enhances the coffee’s clarity of flavor. After fermentation, the beans are transferred to raised African drying beds, where they spend 15 days drying under the sun. Turned five to six times daily, the beans dry evenly, locking in their bright, clean, and distinctive character.
The result is a coffee that captures the essence of Ethiopia’s birthplace of coffee—vibrant, aromatic, and full of depth. Each sip tells the story of the farmers’ dedication, the land’s natural gifts, and a tradition of excellence passed down through generations.
Experience coffee the way it was meant to be: pure, carefully crafted, and unforgettable. Taste Aricha, and discover why Ethiopian coffee remains the gold standard for coffee lovers around the world.
